Holiday Jammin

It's holiday time! This year, we did things a little different for the Livescape client gifts. A snowy Saturday afternoon in December was the perfect time to stoke up the fire and make 4 dozen jars of home made cranberry apple maple jam.

We paired the jam with wooden jar openers, a gift that Tessa's cousins make from old trees on her great great grandparents' farm. The jar openers this year were made from the wood of an old Black Walnut tree that was planted by her ancestors a century ago. The money raised from the jar opener sales was donated to a children's gift box program, and the gift boxes are assembled by the seniors at the Nithview Retirement Home. That's some seriously feel-good family history!
